Senior Backend Engineer

Own core rail services: ledgering, orchestration, and settlement integrity.

You will build and operate the services that move and account for money on the rail. This is a correctness-first role — the systems you own must reconcile to the cent and produce evidence a regulator can audit.

What you'll own

• Design and run ledgering, orchestration, and settlement services.
• Make idempotency, reconciliation, and auditability first-class in every service.
• Define the data contracts other teams build against.
• Carry production ownership for the services you ship.

What we look for

• Substantial experience building transactional backend systems at scale.
• Fluency in a strongly-typed language and relational data modelling.
• A track record of correctness under concurrency and failure.
• Clear written reasoning — you document decisions, not just code.
